Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA Robin Sylar - Tricked Out

 | More low quality garage trash passing as surf. It has a certain charm, but if you're looking for the real deaql or even great modern grode surf distortion, this just isn't it. Pretty well recorded live track, but not very interesting. |

Surf Puppy
New Wave (Instrumental)
Well, this sure is cheesy! New wave instro fair with barking and goofy keys. Not particularly melodic or interesting, and severely dated sounding.
Miserlou
Surf (Instrumental)
Rough, sloppy metered, and unimaginative, Robin Sylar plays a crude version of Dick Dale and his Del-tones' "Miserlou" 45 with modern tone.
Pipeline
Surf (Instrumental)
Nearly glissando free, but throbbing with tremolo and bass rumble, The Chantays' "Pipeline" has a decidedly punk edge. As dirty garage versions go, this is relatively interesting, though quite sloppy. The over-modulated verse is dreadful.
