![]() | Before they were the Guess Who, they were Chad Allen and the Expressions. This material dates from 1963 through 1967, much for the first time in stereo and from original masters. Beginning life as Allan's Silvertones in 1960, the British Invasion promoted a name change to Chad Allan and the Reflections in 1964, which morphed into Chad Allan and the Expressions by the time they cut their first hit "Shakin' All Over" CIAY TV studios in Winnipeg, Manitoba in December 1964. Issued in January 1965 on the Quality label, "Shakin' All Over" was picked up by Scepter and credited in a promotional scheme as the Guess Who in June 1965. The rest is, as they say, History. Amid the gems from this very important Canadian band is an very obscure and delightful instrumental called "Made In England." |
