Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA | Is there any Link Wray you shouldn't own? I say no. This release caries three instros of note... as usual, Link is doing the grodie guitar strut. Some of the vocals are way cool as well. Dig the punky "Just That Kind" or the plaintiff "Fever." |
Picks: Snag, Switchblade, Rawhide

Link's typical grungy riff rockin' ways show through in "Snag" like there's nothing between the eighties and the fifties when Link ruled. Pure unpretentious instro fun. Excellent.
Rock (Instrumental)
Yikes! This heavy grodie sludge fest is pure Link Wray. Long sustains, vibrato throbs, pickslides, and all over a menacing backtrack. Too cool!
Rock (Instrumental)
Monster power upgrade of Link's classic track... ample punch, crisp sound, and that Link Wray guitar. Need I say more?
