The Woodchucks - Bo-Dacious c/w Angry Generationdotdotdot
artworkThis is mostly interesting because the b-side was covered by Dick Dale on the Ciro's album. Written by Lee Hazelwood, "Angry Generation" was among the highlights of the album, in part because it was so different. That was 1965. The Woodchucks single was issued in 1969, though its recording date is not clear. Did it predate Dale's cover, Was it actually the demo Dick worked from, or was it just the first time Hazelwood produced it to tape?
Picks: Bo-Dacious, Angry Generation

Bo-Dacious dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Near surf tone in an early Southern rock format, with cool bass glissandos, British R&B harmonica, and rich chords. Backwoods surf heading for the invasion.

Angry Generation dotdotdot
Post Surf (Instrumental)

This is Lee Hazelwood's monster that Dick Dale made sound so huge on his Ciro's LP. It's completely different than that, with moderate guitar and organ and lots of room reverb. Slow and almost bluesy, and very strange.
