Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA Terry "Buffalo" Ware - Buffalo Tracks

 | Highly polished instrumentals, mostly guitar based, with many creative ideas and sounds. I'm not sure why this was submitted to Cowabunga or Reverb Central, except that it is instrumental. There sure isn't any surf here. For an excursion away from the coast, it's a nice ride. |

Track by Track Review
Rock (Instrumental)
This is a gentle instro with a commercial feel and smooth sound. melodic and kinda hippie sounding.
Rock (Instrumental)
Slightly sideshow in structure, "Bob's Funhouse" plays with the child inside. There's a grin in every chord.
Rock (Instrumental)
Like Jack The Ripper for the turnpike, "Squirrel Patrol" rolls down an open highway with the top down. This employs an essentially surf structure, though played entirely dry.
Hay Fever Waltz
Rock (Instrumental)
A little country and a little Cat Mother in a clean dry format.
Rock (Instrumental)
Frank Zappa's "Peaches En Regalia" is reverently trickled out, with a slightly updated sound and a little less Zappa mindset. Quite fun.
Rock (Instrumental)
Classical guitar exercising with charm and precision. Pleasant sophisticated listening.
Rock (Instrumental)
Mature guitar inventions, precision delivery, and a warm dry-land melody line. Kinda jazzy.
Rock (Instrumental)
Twango quirkiness, twerpy playfulness, and subdued humor. can't decide if I like this or not.
Cruisin' Cleveland County

Country (Instrumental)
This countrified track approaches surf from a melody line point of view, but has much more to do with a country road than water. Nice track.
Rock (Instrumental)
Raining polished guitar licks in gentle rivulet which flow from the amp like a summer daydream.
Let's Make The Water Turn Black

MOR (Instrumental)
Kinda sparkling, kinda country acoustic, sorta bouncy. A nice track for an afternoon adventure down by the creek.
Rock (Instrumental)
Slide guitar, buffed playing, a wispy feel, and a carefree riff. Quite frothy.
Rock (Instrumental)
Plinky barroom meandering, sometimes a bit angular, which yields to a round about guitar riff. Guts everywhere, but not a drop of courage. Floaty and hopeful.
