The Walflower Complexion - When I'm Far From Youdotdotdot
artworkWhen I'm Far From You contains two instros of substantially different roots. The rest of the album is mostly low value garage covers, but the instros are worth a Sunday afternoon diversion.
Picks: El Caiman, From Head To Toe

El Caiman dotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

A light and playful melody romp along in the way "La Cucaracha" does. "El Caiman" is a bit of youthful fluff that's hard not to like. Dry tone and a couple of repetitious chanted verses. Simply fun.

From Head To Toe dotdotdot
Surfadelic (Instrumental)

Tremolo guitars and smooth bass portray a delicate psychedelic mood. "From Head To Toe" is not really melodic, but more of a progression that evolves over time to lure you in. The double picked guitar rises slowly from the hypnotic haze, as does the bass. Pretty darn interesting!
