Surf (Instrumental)
The Fender IV's "Mar Gaya" is precisely delivered... metered but not driven very hard. The restrained delivery gives it an oddly endearing sound. I'm sure Randy Holden didn't intend this, as his original take as well as the latest inclusion of the melody on his new release demonstrate. It's an interesting treatment.
Surf (Instrumental)
Restrained and tentative, yet hinting of development to come. This classic Ernesto Lecuona tune is such a surf natural that nearly any arrangement works. Quite nice.
