Bob Vaught and the Wheels - Doin' The Surf c/w Surf In Paradisedotdotdotdot
artworkThis single was recorded in 1963 at about the time that the Tony Hilder sessions were cut, though Hite and Bruce Morgan were responsible for this. "Doin' The Surf" on the a-side is a very poor vocal track, but the b-side is exceptionally nice.

Surf In Paradise dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

This is one cool obscuro. "Surf In Paradise" is kind of a combination of "Jezebel," and "Adventures In Paradise," though the latter is there mostly in imagery. This song has a fine melody line cowritten by Bob Vaught and Bruce Morgan. It's moderate pace and catchy rhythm are very friendly. There are some really nice guitar lines, and some superb island chords too. All around, this is a superb single.
