Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA
|Three song ep from this obscure combo from Cape Town, South Africa. The authentic Fireballs sound is mighty impressive. The licks are George Tomsco perfect, but with a lot of real fender reverb on the guitar. Really a good listen. These tracks are from 1982, and the band is "Dutch" Masters - guitar, Randall Gronner - second guitar, Ansel Brunswick - bass, and Ted Remo - drums.|
Picks: Bulldog, Foot Patter, Dumbo

George Tomsco's ultra cool "Bulldog" is rhythmic and infectious. These guys add a bunch of reverb, giving it a thicker more watery sound. Otherwise, precision is the order of the day.
This is a nice chunky tune, with a certain raw edge and delicate energy that contradict the delivery. It has a very infectious melody. Reverberating, and rhythmic.
"Dumbo" is a very quirky and memorable melody. The double picking is perfect and the reverb splashes wetly. Fine cover.
