The U. S. Rockets - Bodacious c/w March Of The Siamese Childrendotdotdotdot
artworkOf all the sessions Kim Fowley presided over, this just may be my favorite. "Bodacious" may be the a-side, but it's "March of the Siamese Children" that brings me back over and over again.
Picks: Bodacious, March of the Siamese Children

Track by Track Review

Bodacious dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Employing an overused bass-rhythm guitar riff, a bunch of surf whammy, and a jam structure, this is a mean track, in the spirit of the Novas' "The Crusher," but slower and more menacing. The nasty sax break is classic rock growl.

Surf (Instrumental)

A big gong opens this ultra cool surf interpretation of the theme to the South Bank Show, and originally from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I. Fine Fender tone and reverb, along with liquid playing and a simple but very affective arrangement.
