The Tremolo Beer Gut - While Squaresville Is Watching From Afar...dotdotdotdot
artworkDanish surfband the Tremolo Beer Gut deliver three surf instros with dramatic horror in mind. Sometimes melodic, sometimes dark and scary, these tunes project the kind of imagery seen decades ago in black and white horror films. Macabre dances, demented mentality, and lots of drama. Their CD was great. This single is marvelous.

Track by Track Review

Remember Jemez Red dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

A big whammy chord opens this moody and melodic track. "Remember Jemez Red" floats in a lazy day open road kinda way. The melody is simple and satisfying, almost like something Richie Podolor might write.

While Squaresville Is Watching From Afar... dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

The title track of this single is dark and brooding, but more riffy than melodic. Intense and mean, and pushed to the graveyard max. Warbly theremin effects and spooky dramatic scenes. It grows on you pretty quickly.

Death Valley dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Evil screams and driving double picked guitar in a dark format. Big and chunky, and not very melodic. It has a dangerous hypnotic power about it, like a scene from some black and white occult film.
