 | The second album finds these guys on a major label in Europe. As strong as their first CD, and just as endearing. Full of Spanish ideas and sounds, Mediterranean visions, and their Dutch sense of humor. What a great band! |

"Red Hot Navigator" is from their "Hasheeda" CD. It opens with stereo race car sound fx, then launches into a mighty tasty big whammy bar tune. Very cool!

This is a whammy twang monster. It sports chunky fun rhythms, Spanish flair, and a sorta pre King Of Hawaii air. This is a very infectious track. Great playing, and wonderful writing. A must have.

Mediterranean or Cossack dancing, double picked leads, chopped rhythm guitar, and rolling drums all merge into a fine track. melodic, and very memorable.
Surf (Instrumental)
With a pop-pop percussion, and a pop-pop melody, it's aptly named, like a surfed up Spanish pluckmaster busting the golden buds. The mariachi horns are too cool.

MOR plucking and bachelor pad exotic tomfoolery masked by pristine playing. Nice track.
Surf (Instrumental)
Fiery double picking, sirens calling, ominous melody line, power surge visions, and pluck-driven breaks make this an unusual surf monster. Quite nice.

The guitar interplay is very nice, in an See Emily Play kinda way, with touches of Eddie Money and the Three Bells. Double picked finery, unusual structures and influences, and a very pretty sound. Totally endearing.
Surf (Instrumental)
A "Pipeline" styled rhythm introduces the track, but it quickly melds into a spaghetti western structure. Melodic and fluid, with "cactoos" needle whammy.
Surf (Instrumental)
Dark whammy, double picked drama, big chord crashes, twin lead Spanish double picking, and Dick Dale shredding over a rolling spaghetti backtrack. What a monster this is. Completely fine, right up there with the Hellbenders' "Have A Nice Funeral My Friend," with the added bonus of mariachi horns.
Surf (Instrumental)
Moody, slow shimmer and tom toms, eerie ambiance, sad tones. Nice track.
Surf (Instrumental)
A travelog for your imagination. This is a spiffy track, with Spain clearly in view, and a ride on a Vespa too. If this is Tuesday, it must be Madrid.
Surf (Instrumental)
Big drama, power dribbled double picking, like in the backwards part of "Araban," this is chunky, powerful, tango driven, and very Spanish. A very interesting track.
Surf (Instrumental)
Ah, the Euro beach scene, silky smooth tones, melodic and playful. It has an almost "Music To Watch Girls By" kinda feel to it. Quite a nice track.
