Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA Tread Asphalt Trio - Hit The Cement

 | Bay Area drummer Joey Myers, a refuge of many rockabilly bands, and the last drummer in the Shockwaves, has landed once again in an outstanding outfit. Called the Tread Asphalt Trio, their music is fast and aggressive rockabilly that takes no prisoners. It's all about hot rods and the streets. Great lyrics, tuff vocals, and wonderful musicianship are in evidence throughout the disc. Four instrumentals are included. |

Hot Rod Ford (with a Corvette Motor)

Rockabilly (Instrumental)
Racing rockabilly boogie with rich thrashing guitar, pumping bass, and pounding drums. It may be a progression, but "Hot Rod Ford" is damn hot and pumped up.
Rockabilly (Instrumental)
Yikes, thick thrashing rockabilly guitar, bass throbbing, and drums raging in a manic assault on the silence.
Rockabilly (Instrumental)
The guitar flies, the bass rumbles, the drums bounce, and all in tribute to where the rubber meets the road, and is left there. Big guitar jammin'.
Rockabilly (Instrumental)
Rapid fire guitar chord thrash against racing drums and grumblin' bass. Intense and rhythmic, and did I mention fast?
