First off, swell as used here is not a surf term. The Swell Maps made some pretty angular semi pop music in the UK during the eighties. They cut an instro that was a B-side, had a surf name, and even approached the more rhythmic side of the genre as defined at that time. For the collector, or fan of the early eighties British scene.
