The Stockmen - Blow Outdotdotdot
artworkThis Russian roots rock band found its way to me via KFJC's Oscar Hocks. Their music is honest and straight forward fifties rockabilly, mostly in English and mostly covers, with a couple of Russian language originals, and one very cool instro. This is a crude recording, essentially ambient, but worth checking out if you like roots music at all.

The Man With The Hunch dotdotdot
Surfabilly (Instrumental)

The Stockmen twang an intro that's a blend of rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, and surf. The melody riff is quite surfable, and the glissandos very cool. Mid tempo and aquatic, with a haunting guitar line and surf bass line. The sound is pretty murky, but "The Man With The Hunch" is nonetheless very cool.
