![]() | The Illusions were from Bellflower, California. This 1964 single is a crudely cut 45 distributed at shows with Marlow Stewart fronting the band on his own composition "Earthquake!." The Illusions were Bob Mason - rhythm, Larry Ellis - rhythm, Randy Ritter - bass, Mike Lobert - keyboards, Roy Alvia - sax, and Tom Brown - drums. Brown played with The Wedge in the early eighties. While this is a lo-fi recording, the song itself is superb. The flip is Marlow Stewart and the Illusions vocal version of "Ooh Poo Pah Doo." |
