Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA The Silvermen - Incendiary, Luminary...

 | The Silvermen are essentially a rockabilly band, but where others ride the sometimes cartoon interpretation rails, they create straight forward original music. there are three instros here that are not typical of the genre, but are more melodic and evolved. |
Picks: Monkey Tooth, Guitar 2600, Raygun

Sophisticated Rockabilly (Instrumental)
Monkey Tooth is a twangy rockabilly instro with a dramatic sound and moderate pace. Where most rockabilly intros race along in a mindless riff rock vein, this is melodic, minor key sad, with a touch of drama and maybe even dockside espionage. very cool.
Sophisticated Rockabilly (Instrumental)
A great rhythm idea and fine-but-simple guitar riff that demands attention. Low down moody, energetic in a low-key kinda way, and infectious. Guitar 2600 is a splendid example of how much you can do with well written and executed guitar lines.
Sophisticated Rockabilly (Instrumental)
Like a rockabilly speedster Link Wray rocker, with vibrato chords and lots of energy. Thundering tribal drums, great bass, and a couple of vocal verses about the Raygun set to kill. Great track!
