Track by Track Review
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)
This is very earthy and swimming in distant reverb, with great surf and spaghetti western credentials. "Hang 'em High" inverts the eerie piercing intent with a spooky and beautiful air. Quite stunning.
Euro Surf (Instrumental)
Shigemi Komiyama takes this venerable classic into Shadows style territory, but with surf tone. Exotic percussion and a soft sound, almost like the Challengers without the piano, gives this a very pretty sound.
Surf (Instrumental)
This is a spunky Shadowsy adventure in melodic riff rock, with an outdoor feel. Excellent guitar work and fine drumming combine to create a rich arrangement.
Surf (Instrumental)
The melody line is carried by a guitar / bass duet, which provides a sorta Jet Harris / Tony Meehan sound. "Lonely One" is a nice soft track.
Surf (Instrumental)
Infectious stop-start rhythms and percussion give Chuck Rio's playful tune a refined edge. Softly rocks.
