Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA The Shades - Ace Of Spades

 | The disc is mastered out of phase, which saps the music's focus and makes the band sound just plain weak. Just three instros are here, and they are much in the Rapiers' mold. |
Picks: Lynch Mob, Beeza Bill's Boogie, The Cruel Sea

Euro Surf (Instrumental)
This near surf romper is mighty fun and energetic, and in an optimistic vein. It straddle the line between the Shadows style and surf. "Lynch Mob" is originally from the Rapiers.
Euro Rock (Instrumental)
"Beeza Bill's Boogie" is a raucous sax lead fifties bouncer. Way more fun than cool, but just odd enough to stick in your Mouseketeer memories.
Euro Surf (Instrumental)
This is a competant and enjoyable version of the Dakotas' often covered "The Cruel Sea." Nothing special, though the sax adds a little edge. Well played and fun.
