 | Los Sfinters pound out surf with more energy than style, delivering enjoyable tracks. Most of this material is from various web sources, some of which is only moderately decent sound quality. I suspect a real album will be much better. |

Track by Track Review
Surf (Instrumental)
Starting from a warbly theremin wail, "Journey To The Stars" rises into darkness via edgy muted chops. beyond that, the Ventures' stomper is done in a very straight forward fashion. While not particularly original, it's got some sort of charm, and the theremin and muted edge keeps in engaging.
Surf (Instrumental)
This number is dark and minimalist, with strong reverb and a menacing ambiance. The melody line is OK, but not really strong. Perhaps its a bit too scattered, as if the idea hasn't really gelled beyond its energy.
Surf (Instrumental)
Big whammy chords, big snare, and eerie theremin wails give "Tiki Tiki Destruiro" a real sense of cult danger, or perhaps paranormal uncertainty. Powerful and dangerous.
Surf (Instrumental)
A cruddy recording of a frantic number with fast glissandos and a circular riff. Very surfable, but in a stormy punkoidal way. The song is better than the sound, but really depends on its speed and attack. Lots of glissandos.
El Domador De Palos Contra El Hombre Lobo

Surf (Instrumental)
This is a splashy and dark number with a slid riff and aggressive double picking. Its loud production values add intensity. Great drums and lots of energy here! This is a demo version of the track that appeared on His-Panic Stomp.
Mogambo
Surf (Instrumental)
This is a really dreadful aural track extracted from a wmv file. The performance is rockin' tuff, with screams of exuberance. It's cut short.
