Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA The Seventh Wave - Surfing In The Dairy

 | Seventh Wave is a band from Sweden. This cassette contains 7 songs, 3 instros and 4 vocals. While the vocals are quite good, this being the land of the real surf instrumentals, I'll stick to those. As a live cassette, this is better than most. This cassette was recorded on a four track porta-studio in 1995, an inexpensive tool it capable of pretty darn good results in the hands of a skilled and imaginative craftsmen. This is a good cassette, and predicts a great album. |
Picks: Uluwatu, Rockin' In Rameses Tomb, Rockin' In Rameses Tomb
Track by Track Review
Surf (Instrumental)
The lone original Uluwatu, written by guitarist/vocalist Lasse Björn, is very good. It has a strong melody, and is traditionally structured. This tune will rip when it's recorded in a good studio, no doubt.
Surf (Instrumental)
Rockin' In Rameses Tomb is a cover of a Chris Pearce composition (Surfin' Lungs). It's faithful to the n'th degree, and a good listen.
