This is a 2008 release of modern recordings from The Rip Chords. Just one instro, and 8 California vocals, plus a track from 1961 issued for the first time.

Surf (Instrumental)

This updated version of 1964's "Big Wednesday" is a pleasant dry instrumental excursion with whammy chords, a tasteful melody line, and bongos. It's a nice track, but fairly unremarkable. It's surf quotient is modest, and yet it's an easy listen. The drums sound like they are artificial, but that may merely be processing or triggering as Mitch Schecter is a precise drummer.
