|Much cruder sound than previous releases gives The Retroliners a new edge and expanding borders. many of these tracks sound like demos, have occasional rough guitar spots, but deliver a garage honesty and charm. Others are very well developed and smooth.|

Track by Track Review
Double picking and some fuzz charm the sound of "Ragazzi Bianchi." There's some intensity and chunk, as well as distortion providing edge. This is a very coo track lying somewhere between surf and the hinterlands. The drums and bass are very cool!
Yeah... just like you'd expect... "My Sharona Lou" is a merger between "My Sharona" and "Miserlou." It's a very fun idea delivered with spark and a grin. It's a little rough, like a demo maybe, but very cool nonetheless.
In loose reference to The Beatles' "Cry For A Shadow," this has some interesting drums sections and a couple of lines lifted from other Beatles songs like "Day Tripper" and "I Feel Fine." It's rough, like a work in development.
Sandy Nelson's "Alexis" is fun and kinda tribal. The two guitar parts work together while the rising bass lines and drums support the third guitar. The hypnotic nature of the relentless flow is pretty cool, and creates tension that is quite attractive. It's an interesting interpretation.
Smells Like Kurt Drained You
Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is the obvious subject matter here. Moody bass and drums run alongside the guitar's refrain. While not compelling, it has its moments.
A bit of "Peter Gunn" moodiness and a touch of organ swirl lay down a meandering and bluesy stride. It tends to grow on you - way more interesting than I expected.
"Recoleta" is a very slow blues on organ that reminds me of the keys in some of Manfred Mann's 45's. This is slow, moody, and soothing. Very nice.
Console organ jazz in a kind of Jimmy Smith way that's soothing and funky. Tastefully done with jazzy guitars and a cool beat.
Arrangement In Grey & Black
Blue Jazz (Instrumental)
Experimentally bluesy and jazzy, "Arrangement In Grey & Black" is an inventive and liquid track with soulful sounds and late night ambiance.
Eerie effects and funky bass, with a touch of spy and a hint of darkness. "In Like Clint" moves slowly and gracefully through a number of changes. Some really nice sounds evolve in the ever expanding arrangement. Sophisticated and cool.
