Track by Track Review

Avalanche dotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

Major poundy progression distorto grind, chunky, punky, infectious, and LOUD. "Avalanche" is definitely intense riff rock, with stinging whammy.

Backfire dotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

"Backfire" is a progression based riff rocker covered in grunge and powered by fuzz and big chords.

Chicken Choke dotdotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

There's no Sterno needed to percolate the coffee bubba, just a few seconds of "Percolator Stomp." Stompin', chompin' fun.

The Stroll dotdotdotdot
Garage Surf (Instrumental)

The Diamonds did the original, twisted in it's midnight graveyard haunting. Missing the dementia of the original, but amply nasty. What a cool selection to cover in this slow Link Wray way. Very cool!

Slinky dotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

Link Wray fuzz, walking bass, and a finger poppin' cool beat. Super simple highly effective track, intensely pushed into your living room, and thoroughly enjoyable. Ugly feedback, square wave distortion, and an almost beat generation coolness. Gradually fades out.

Mr. Guitar dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Riffology draped over an open garage door in the rain, with a lumbering break and strong drum work. Shreddin' hard, eating sand for the pleasure.

Commanche dotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

Everyone seems to do this... it's a chord grinder progression tune with little melody, but lots of power. This is a dark and fuzzy grind cover.

No Stopping dotdotdot
Garage Surf (Instrumental)

Grode riffin' garage rant... none too shy of edge and guts. "No Stopping" is raw and nasty. Wow.

Orbit dotdotdot
Garage Surf (Instrumental)

Fuzzier, yet more surfy, this track has the structure of a post surf instro, and is about as hot as they come, performance wise. The melody is riff based, and the attack is superb. The original was by Paul Revere and the Raiders.

Rawhide dotdotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

Link Wray's well known monster, not the theme to the TV show. This is just plane huge. Intense, and completely pumped. The monitor feedback that appears in spots seems appropriate.

Bodacious dotdotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

Strongly Bo Diddley-ed cover of I Want Candy, with a ton of fuzz, and a huge selection of energy. Even the monitor feedback adds to the grode feel of this pumped in-your-face track.

Hanky Panky dotdotdot
Garage Fuzzabilly (Instrumental)

Just enough cool, and more than enough distortion. This is a fine whammied garagification of the Tommy James & the Shondells' hit from 30 years ago. The pace is accelerated, and the grode generator is turned up to 11. Cool track.

Psyclone dotdotdot
Garage Surf (Instrumental)

Funky bass lines, slow deliberate pace, and a surf dominated melody, complete with appropriate whammy and amble twang. This is a fine track, with spiffy guitar, and solid playing from bass and drums as well. Very nice.

Bandito dotdotdotdot
Garage Surf (Instrumental)

A fine rolling track, with real surf reverb, and a fine surf melody that playfully wanders through some Spanish territory and some beach front property. Cool and very visual. restrained and almost refined. Great track.

Chaquita dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

This non-CD track rules with rhythm and power (surprise surprise). No limits to the thick and awesome energy of this nearly fanatical raver. A fine melody line and spectacular energy, with lots of reverb magic.

Rumble dotdotdot
Garage Surf (Instrumental)

Thick and brooding, this is a cover of the album version. darkness abounds in this trashy nasty version of Link Wray's monster.
