"Pipeline '76" is a bit slower than "Pipeline '78" and has different breaks. It's a bit less bright, but equally interesting. This is a fine single. It's postmodern surf with Moog. Very different from the original Chantays recording, except for the melody. While this is electronic surf, it's much more credible than Bruce Johnston's b-side to "Disney Girls." and sports a rather original arrangement.
