OuterWave - 2005 Demosdotdotdotdot
artworkThese three demos from Outerwave show great reverence for traditional surf, and display the tribal rhythms of the genre very well. Rich and rewarding!

Malibu Run dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Randy Holden's wonderful ska influenced surf epic is very nicely done by Outerwave here. It's more percussive, but otherwise very reverent to the Fender Four original. Excellent!

Pintor dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Jack Irvin's "Pintor" is well done, with more of an eye on surf whammy and richness than the Pharos' version. It engages you, and seems very immediate. Nice track.

Jack The Ripper dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Thundering tom toms drive a tribal rhythm in deep rich tonal territory. The guitar shimmers and throbs as required. Simple, but very effective! Uncle Link's power bar instro always rocks.
