Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
A bit of ska sensibility, some solid trombone lead work, and infectious percussion combine to create a beat dominated track. Way fun.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
The guitar plays a major role in "Dynamica," which has the horn sound of ska and the hookability of surfable guitar riffs. Simply cool, and with an unusual sound.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
With a surf beat and light weight guitar hinting of wistful summer days, "Peter Coffee" is a catchy and fun song with a film score feel.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
With just enough X's, "Texxxas Feever" sports a classic surf beat and a flowing horn line. Kinda moody, kinda party, kinda cool.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
Ringing guitar and floating trombones portray a search for surf on a summer afternoon. Open and innocent, "Pedra" is both fun and moody.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
With strong ska sensibilities, "Billy Billy" pumps and prances with exuberance and abandon. Simply fun!
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
This is a great track, with a dramatic introduction and haunting horn line. "L'@" is the standout track on the disc, with a catchy line and a soothing sound. Excellent!
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
Beat dominated, slightly crunchy, and party cool, this moves and grooves with a bumpy beat and spy feel. Bill Dogget's "Honky Tonk" is not the basis of this track.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
Great drums and bass and plucky guitar ride relentlessly beneath a spooky lead line. haunting and delicate, ringing and liquid silky, "Octopunch" is a real treat.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
Little agent Jimmy Bond finds his way to a surfboard while the obvious ska linkages in John Barry's "James Bond" (which have been exploited by ska bands many times) are treated as merely a platform from which to bring out the suave tropical cool of the song. Excellent!
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
This is among the more surfable tracks on the disc, with the feel of the dryer side of the genre from the sixties filtered through modern melody structures. This is a cover of a Kûlica song from their Super Ultra Power CD. Quite enjoyable.
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
Tasteful guitar lines lead "Coisa De Venus" to staying power. Simple and direct, yet enduring. This is a cover of the Mummies' "Thing From Venus."
Trombone Surf (Instrumental)
This track is not listed on the sleeve. It's fast and frantic trombone ska, and less than 40 seconds long.
