Track by Track Review
Rock (Instrumental)
Pounding drums open to thick grindy guitar playing a riff rocker. Powerful and thick like an eighties Austin rocker.
Chitlin
Rock (Instrumental)
A bit of the country front porch, some sax and organ Memphis soul, and a little edge. In some ways, it reminds me of a soulful version of the Atlantics (east LA circa 1962).
Rock (Instrumental)
Great title, and friendly guitar tone. Quirky and bouncy, jazzy and entirely fun in a "Lady Of Spain" kinda way. The cheesy mall organ comes in at the break. Quite entertaining.
Rock (Instrumental)
This is hot and heavy. Tweaky keys and nasty sax, and gutty guitar too. Rockin' and rollin' with abandon. "Bikini Bullfight" is a strong track, with plenty to capture your imagination. Great sax work.
The Relaxed Ambassador
Rock (Instrumental)
Liquid jazzy guitar and whirling organ slowly ooze out a playful melody. The organ is in the lead. Fun and very innocent.
Carnival Surf (Instrumental)
Underwater, hiding from the destroyers, with a fast ska beat behind. Surf guitar in the lead, and just enough fun to make you grin. It's all about fun. very cool.
Lounge Surf (Instrumental)
"Spice" is a slow and vibrato shimmered number with honky sax and a fifties detective feel. It's a loungy kinda track with a rock edge.
Rock (Instrumental)
Tom toms pound and the Shadows sneak a peak out from under the covers. The guitar is excellent, and the organ adds an air of sideshow. Quite interesting.
Last Date
Rock (Instrumental)
Funky and kinda soulful in a corner bar sorta way, with cheesy organ and jazzy guitar. A little peanut butter for that jam?
Bongo Beach
Rock (Instrumental)
Bongos provide an exotic edge while a soft guitar picks out a progression. A little percussion and it's all done. Definitely a beach party Kinda tune.
