 | The Mighty Gordinis play aggressive and trashy frat based noisy garage rock with surf based instros. They are neither creative or remarkable. The commonness of the sound and performances leaves no lasting impression, nut some of the half-dozen instros are fun enough. |
Picks: Soul Samurai, Tornado Chasers, Huntsville, The Truth Is Under The Hood, Jungle Stroll, Power Jet
Track by Track Review
Garage Surf (Instrumental)
This is a tweaky soul progression instro, with organ lead and utterances of "Soul Samurai." Nicely done, with the feel of the Stax music machine.
Garage Surf (Instrumental)
"Tornado Chasers" is an infectious instrumental, with guitar and organ sharing lead duties. The guitar work is surfy, and the format garage. Much more riff rock than melodic, yet quite satisfying.
Garage Surf (Instrumental)
Great grimy horror surf, with a growly vocal chorus. Eerie and scary, hokey and playful. "Huntsville" is like a B-movie for your ears. Very cool.
The Truth Is Under The Hood

Garage Surf (Instrumental)
"The Truth Is Under The Hood" is a spirited surf 'n' rod pounder, with hot glissandoes and fiery playing. Riffy, but intensely cool.
Garage Surf (Instrumental)
"Jungle Stroll" sports quite a bit of the old drive, along with a nice little riff. Repetitious, but lots of fun.
Garage Surf (Instrumental)
Big power drive riff surf 'n' roll. Into the white water with the throttle wide open as the twangy riff rolls out. Solid fun and energy.
