Track by Track Review
Surf (Instrumental)
"La Ciudad Del Horror" sports a lovely surf melody and lead tone, and shows a sense of adventure. A classic surf beat connects the dots. It's not very horror, but is definitely a drive a long the coast kinda surf instro. The break is carried by whistling guitar, while the main body is round and reverbed. Cool track.
Surf (Instrumental)
Organ gives way to dirty guitar double picking its way through a mid-tempo "Misirlou." It's fiery, aggressive, and garagy, yet very surfable. Manganzoides bring their garage ethic to this surf romp for a cool hybrid. The arrangement is based on Dick Dale and his Del-tones' single.
Garage (Instrumental)
"Tsunami" is a garage instro with a nice melody line and organ. Part surf, part garage, part pre-psych. There is energy and power, and small combo charm here.
Garage (Instrumental)
"Estacion Fantasma" is garage with surf chords. The organ sets the stage, the fuzz dominates, and the whammy chords accent. It's a cool track with good ideas, solid writing, and a very appropriate arrangement.
