Ken Levy and the Phantoms - Wow! - Ken Levy and the Phantomsdotdotdotdot
artworkThis is album number two from Ken Levy and the Phantoms. The version of "Windy and Warm" is beyond reproach, and the drum solo track is one of the better such recordings around!
Picks: Windy And Warm, Ooie

Windy And Warm dotdotdotdot
Cowboy Surf (Instrumental)

John D. Loudermilk's splendid "Windy And Warm" is done with a touch of reverb and a grin. The undulating riffs in this song always get me, and the muted second guitar creates a surfish feel. Too much fun!

Ooie dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

There's a sort of swampy feeling in this simple riffer. It's gentle pace and restrained sound are countered by great drums. While the tom toms rumble, the sax honks an occasional bit of saucy late night ambiance. Mostly a drum solo, "Ooie" is catchy and rhythmic. Did I mention great drums!
