The artwork on this release is absolutely gorgeous! The music is great too. Die Kosmonauten play imaginative and adventurous sounds. Unlike anything else.

Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

A high voice and grumbly bass and guitar call up a chorus in the spaghetti tradition. This intro is long, dramatic, and cinematic. Double picked guitar, whammy chords, and rock beats, with sax verses and more. Well developed, engaging, and fun.

Rhythmus der Nacht dotdotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Cool, gritty glissandos and manic, slithering notes, tremolo melody, and a solid beat. "Rhythmus der Nacht" is highly original, and ever so demented, with frantic double picking and tortured glissando and chop madness.

Trassenheide dotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Modulated guitar does a tweaky number of an interesting guitar progression. This is way more fun than artful, with some tuff tone at times and organ grinding. "Trassenheide" is a go-go kind of rocker.

Dusenhelastokopter dotdotdotdot
Surfabilly (Instrumental)

A gritty glissando brings forth a rockin' rockabilly surfer with a superbly infectious beat. Some tweaky keys, a few laughs and some dialog. It all adds up to a mighty fun track.

B 95 dotdotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Among the most straightforward surf instro from Die Kosmonauten, this is very well rounded, sports a cool melody line, and a solid beat. I like "B 95" a lot.

Mohawks Taucha dotdotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Schizophrenically blending Middle Eastern and Indian motifs, "Mohawks Taucha" is a superb track. Lots to entertain, and very well thought out. The beat is infectious, the chants cool, and the drums great. Very cool!

Schieberei am Dawsons Creek dotdotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Lovely guitar work guides this infectious cowboy charmer. Liquid surf chords, a superb beat, and really cool lead work. "Schieberei am Dawsons Creek" is entirely cool.

Tief im Western dotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Here we have a lighter, cowboy dance hall bouncer with great drums and charm. A fun melody and infectious beat.

Zigeunerschnitzel dotdotdotdot
Polka Surf (Instrumental)

"Zigeunerschnitzel" starts off in a very delicate vein with cymbals and guitars, then drops into a classic polka with a very fun melody. I like how this feels - particularly its energy and grin.

Der Rote Blitz dotdotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

"Der Rote Blitz" is playful, surfy, and engaging. It bounces and drives with a very good melody and some drama. Bits of Middle Eastern melody, and an exotic feel. Very cool.

Leise rieselt der Schnee dotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

The wind howls as "Leise rieselt der Schnee" opens. A horse rides up, and then the glissando rips. Part surf, part cowboy, and adventurous. A few minutes in, church bells take over for quite a spell. Then ay out at the end after some silence, a very pleasant uncredited track with a light and bouncy sound.
