|These six track were cut over the last couple of years. Really good playing, simple and direct arranging, and very pleasurable listening abound. There area couple of really original arrangements. I'd love to hear a C D from these guys. Incidentally, they seems also to play as The Shape Shifting Lizards.|

Track by Track Review
"1000 Foot Wave" is a pretty grumbly rockabilly instro with splash and glissandos. High energy and infectious. The sound is boomy and trashy.
A dark fuzz runs under this otherwise tame version of Jerry Lordan's "Apache." It's all about the fuzz, which provides a dangerous contrast to the lovely shimmer of the tremolo. The unexpected juxtaposition of incongruous tones is compelling. I love this!
"Tiki's Comet" is a rockabilly romp in very dull sound. It's fast and playful.
This is a well played cover of Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight Of The Bumble Bee," more or less based on The Ventures' version. Precision double picked playing and a very tasteful and straightforward arrangement add up to a fine track.
Detective Surf (Instrumental)
Henry Mancini's "The Pink Panther Theme" is done in a light and beatnik cool way, with excellent musicianship. Satisfying and easy.
Sitting On Top
Cowboy Surf (Instrumental)
"Sitting On Top" is a delightful track with country and surf intermingled. It's twangy and fun, with rich tone and a relaxed open sky sound. Very nice track!
