![]() | The Jigsaw Seen are one of the great unsung bands. They have been around for a long time, yet remain relatively unknown. I had the extreme pleasure of recording them for Big Myke Destiny ages ago at KFJC. Aside from the one incredible instro here, this CD captures some classic performances from a fine group of musicians. Their exceptional vocals here include the tribal gloom of "Little Know Ye Who's Coming," the haunting beauty of "Tattoo," a stunning cover of the Yardbirds' moody dirge "Still I'm Sad," an amazing interpretation of the Bee Gee's "Melody Fair," a psychedelic daydream reinvention of the Hollies' pop genius "On A Carousel," the beautifully haunting "Desiree," a shimmering vibrato magic ode to "Luci Baines," the soft summer future of "30 Century Man," and the soft drama of "This Is Where I Belong." |
