Track by Track Review

Jiggolou dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Excellent driven double picked surf, with solid reverb and a solid melody line. The arrangement is great, with tasty changes and playing throughout. It's a little bit Spanish.

Sonny Tango dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

A double picked melody line over a tango with ample access to the aquifer. This is a full bodied tune with solid surf sound, spiked with tasty whammy.

Goldstrike dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Heavy low-E double picking, like a "Miserlou" inspired firebrand. Solid drive from the outside in, with a fluid melody line and plenty of danger.

Theme From Duse dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

"Theme From Duse" is a moderately paced number with swimming pool whammy, afternoon relaxed vision, and a tasty riff. Something like some of Da Surfones' compositions, the tune is a solid bit of writing that deserves much better studio sound than this demo.

The Pier dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

What a cool tune. The guitar plays a simple little riff, then drops in the most endearing whammy chords. It's quite a fun track, with an infectious hook.

7-10 Split dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Crunchy chunky surf rhythms, and an almost subtle low-E melody line. "7-10 Split" doesn't sound like a bowling tune to me, but it sure does please. Latin suave seems to live in its writing, as well as a playful between sets antics kinda feel, like some of the filler in Bruce Brown films. Quite happy.

El Duderino dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Spanish smoothness, mystery, adventure, and exotic scenery. "El Duderino" is one fine track, easily the best written here, and certainly the best listening. This mid tempo track offers a warm air sound, and a sense of Mexico.
