This is a most unusual single. Johnny Houston and the Playboys play in a primarily country format, but the horn section adds the charm of early ska to this version of "Home On The Range." A galloping muted rhythm guitar, spurious shouts, and a rock attitude are all here in copious amounts. "Rocking On The Range" is most unusual indeed!
