Herman Z German - Herman Z German and Friendsdotdotdot
artworkHerman Rarebell of the Scorpions issued this album in 1985. It's got all the corporate metal crunch they were so accomplished at after gaining worldwide success, unlike the tormented glory of their Uli Roth period sessions. Collectable, but not particularly interesting. Herman's "Friends" on this disc features Randy Nauert (Challengers) on bass, and include D. H. Cooper - guitar, Michael Thompson - guitar, Brian Soule - bass, and Paul Collins - keys.

Wipe Out dotdotdot
Surf Metal (Instrumental)

Starting with a "treated" sample from the opening of the Surfaris' "Wipe Out" single, this is very metallic, and features traditional metal drums, i.e. unimaginative and big. The guitars are metal showoff feedback-compressed and the rhythm is very chunky and heavy. Collectable, but not remarkable.
