Track by Track Review

Chopsticks dotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Yup, it's that composition! Euphemia Allen aka Arthur de Lull wrote this in 1877, and it's been a piano staple ever since. This version features cool drums and pumping piano.

Malaguena dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Surf fanatics often think of "Malaguena" as a guitar song, but Ernesto Lecuona wrote and recorded it on piano. This version opens with the pomp of the original, but employs a B. Bumble and the Stingers arrangement. That's cool enough, but the rapid fire double picked guitar in the middle is all surf, all be it reverb free.

Granada Revisited dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Amilcare Ponchielli's "Dance Of The Hours" has been the source for many recordings. Al Hazan is Ali Hassan, and he rocks on the piano on this great recording. "Granada Revisited" is rumored to be a lost track from the Ali Hassan single session. Way cool!
