The Hang-Ten Hangmen - Terror Tube - Death Rattle - Beyond Damascusdotdotdot
artworkObvious rehearsal space recordings display some serious surf. The Hang-Ten Hangmen must be a band to contend with live! I'd really like to hear these tracks well recorded.
Picks: Terror Tube, Death Rattle, Beyond Damascus

Track by Track Review

Terror Tube dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

"Terror Tube" rips with a loud, raucous performance. It's a good song, dark and menacing. The bridge from "Midnight Run" is morphed for a vintage reference. Better sound would gain a full star here!

Death Rattle dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

Loud jammin' frat presurf riff rock... yeah, dark party pummeling, with aggression and no remorse. The structure is typical of early surf instros, but with a big modern assault.

Beyond Damascus dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

This is a really nicely written surf instro, with a fine melody line and lots of aggression. Dark, very lively, and sporting some fine playing. It's pretty intense!
