Surf (Instrumental)
This is a very nicely done version of the Pyramids' "Penetration." It's a gentle romp through the classic, with a bit of a jazzy edge that slightly reminds me of the way Steve Khan cut it, though way less intentionally tricked out. Quite nice.

"Beachball" is a song brought forward from the McGlynn Brothers Band. The melody is warm, if a little cautious, quite tropical. Simply a nice instro for a sunny afternoon.

Another song brought forward from the McGlynn Brothers Band, "Surfin' Oasis" an uplifting afternoon adventure on an open road. optimistic and free, with some snappy licks.

Warmer and more fluid than the McGlynn Brothers Band take, and very inviting. "Baja Depth Charge" is a playful song that's great as a backdrop for a palm-lined drive.

Johnny Fortune's classic "Soul Surfer" is reverent, yet softened. Johnny Sudetta fine melody is well suited for the way the Glasgow Tiki Shakers play. This is a fine and smooth take on a surf standard.

"Pele" is a new instro that's soft and very pretty in a moody island mist sorta way. I like the melody a lot, and the gentleness of the arrangement compliments it well.

The Shadows' "Shindig" is nicely done, brining out a carefree attitude and lilt. Simply nice.

Military drums, moody bass, and a playful guitar line. Dramatic, fluid, pretty, and a bit misty. "Drume Negreta" is a very island sounding track with a sense of adventure with just a touch of uneasiness. Quite nice.
