The Faraons - Live Set Vol. 1dotdot
artworkThese tracks are live and ambiently recorded, which limits their effectiveness severely. The Faraons are a great band, deserving rich full fidelity sound. Their obvious sunk shines through.
Picks: Harlem Nocturne, Sticky, Turn On, Body Surf

Harlem Nocturne dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

A great performance is very sticky sound. I imagine this would be great if captured on something besides a sewing machine. When the mp3 is stripped down to just one channel and then monoed out, it becomes much more listenable.

Sticky dot
Frat (Instrumental)

"Sticky" is a honkin' sax and guitar frat rocker. Fun, but unremarkable.

Turn On dotdot
Frat (Instrumental)

"Turn On" is a pretty fun frat rock instro with spunky horn and stompin' drums and bass.

Body Surf dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

The Nobles' "Body Surf" is ably rocked out by The Faraons. I imagine that captured better, this would be really cool. Great sax work and stompin' fun.
