 | Well, a lot of stuff to ignore here, and a couple of things that are pretty far out on a limb from a surf perspective. "The Bayonets" is particularly interesting. |
Picks: Autozoom, The Bayonets
Track by Track Review
Rock (Instrumental)
"Autozoom" is modern in its relative bleakness and repetition, but it also seems like a surfable track if you are a robot. Now that may sound uninteresting, but this really works in the right setting. Picked bass is nice to hear too.
Make Death Count
Rock (Instrumental)
This is a dissonant and disjointed number with dreadfully uncomfortable aural qualities. Highly repetitious and droning, and desperate screeches finish it off.
Rock (Instrumental)
Ugly feedback runs under a stage announcement for a fictitious band called The Bayonets. The song is pretty unusual, with delicately echoed muted guitar notes, and a cycling bass line. "The Bayonets" is a fascinating blend of contradictions between the gloom and sea. Very unusual.
