Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA | This mini CD from Holland's Dr. Reverb is pretty darn cool. The guitar is drenched in big reverb, and the melodies move between fluid and angular, threatening and celebrative. All on the fast side with garage attack and unnerving melody lines. |
Picks: Spiderporn, Psycho Prick, Watch Out 45 RPM

Surf (Instrumental)
Here we have an unusual melody line that resides somewhere between surf and spy, with some nice changes, solid energy, and even touches of Link Wray. "Spiderporn" sports lots of reverb, and some groovy string manipulation.
Surf (Instrumental)
Thrashy riffin' and intense discomfort from a very nervous melody line. Not your average top down cruiser, "Psycho Prick" is angular and disquieting.
Surf (Instrumental)
"Watch Out 45 RPM" warns or threatens seven inchers, or is it the other way 'round? No matter, it features aggressive drumming and manic guitar over thunder. It's melodic sometimes, and thrashy others. Some very nice moments here.
