"Surf Hell" uses whammy cords and beach imagery pretty well everywhere except in the break, where dissonant fuzz rules. The drums are really cool, and the long flowing bass notes crate a moody undertone. This is apart dangerous, part raw, and part holiday about to turn ugly. The psychedelic guitar mash-up towards the end is pretty heady.
