Collection: The Mutants vs. Nieminen and Litmanendotdotdot
artworkYet another sound from the Finish chameleons, split with the organ strangitude of Nieminen and Litmanen. This time out, they produce a disturbing melange of sound and emotion in odd and noisy setting, while a liquid cool sixties R&B jazz single rides on the other.
Picks: Hojo Hojo!, Rintamski Airport

Track by Track Review

Hojo Hojo! dotdotdot
Organ (Instrumental)

Loud and obnoxious, sax dominated, and like a Link Wray on acid experience, "Hojo Hojo!" pummels and demands aspirin. Yikes, what an experience!

Rintamski Airport dotdotdot
Organ (Instrumental)

A spooky organ prelude steps aside after a minute or so for a bluesy-jazzy organ piece that's reminiscent of early sixties R&B instros. While it's not at all related to surf, I found this to be a really cool track once the intro was over. "Rintamski Airport" is moody and sullen. The first part of the track is the theme song from an old Finnish television drama series called Rintamskelsiset.
