Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA Split: Monk With Gun vs. MiGs

 | This amazing split single from two bands blessed with Bernard Yin's membership is unmistakably cool, with thick multi-textured sounds, great guitar work, and third degree theramin wails. Inventive, assaultive, and fun. |
Picks: Immigrant Song, Sake Bindings

Theremin Psycho Daze (Instrumental)
What starts out a s a swirly whoosh and theremin howl quickly evolves into a chunky tribute to a disturbed Led Zeppelin. Very thick electro howl and guitar sci-fi wash of sounds and textures. Completely cool, with humor and charm, and an evil chill. Lots of imaginative liberties taken with this Jimmy Page classic, and with the incessant invasion of the theremin, "Immigrant Song" takes on a new life. Destined to be a classic in disguise of the first order. Amazing!
Theremin Weirdness (Instrumental)
Thrash and slam, pump and groove, intense psycho daisies with theremin and imagination. This is structured much like some of Brazil 2001's more intense instros. Swirling assaultive energy and a melodic lead line. Excellent.
