The Irradiates - Across The Atom Surf (Instrumental)
Surf in loud aggressive tone with writhing rhythms. Fast double picked action, and relentless assault! "Across The Atom" has flying glissandos, very fast picking, and thundering bass and drums. A fine track!
The Lost Boys - Neist Point Surf (Instrumental)
Big tom toms pound and bass cycles, atop of which a hard driving gritty tremolo guitar creates dark chord danger. Following a dirty glissando, "Neist Point" gets very aggressive. It's a loud and abrasive instro with a sound that reminds me of the later recordings from The Bottle Ups at times. Link Wray influences and dangerous shortboard action are ever-present. It's a really big track!
