Track by Track Review
Surf (Instrumental)
"Super Jet Rumble" is a great obscuro, opening with pounding tom toms and a jet roaring overhead. The main riff is classic period surf, with a catchy line and punchy rhythm. Powerful, totally infectious and groovy.
Pre Surf (Instrumental)
Piano and guitar rock with a catchy riff and a lumbering pace. "Back Up And Push" passes between typical fifties B-side rock and not quite surf. Beyond a riff rocker, with great piano plinkery.
Surf (Instrumental)
This is the B-side to the Breakers' better known surf obscuro "Jet Stream." It's a basic surf riff, not particularly out of the ordinary, though it does seem to stick with you. Solid surf AABA tune, with plenty of energy and reverb.
Rock (Instrumental)
Basic riff rockin' instro fare, with a catchy progression and a near-boogie beat. Pretty fun, but not particularly memorable.
