Collection: The Cave 4 vs. Scumbag Roadsdotdotdot
artworkThis split seven inch is from a few years ago (date unclear). The Cave 4 have other releases, but this is the only issue from Scumbag Roads, as far as I know. Mostly pretty aggressive, though Scumbag Roads' "El Corazon de un Gringo" is a very cool lower number.
Picks: Gun Riders, Jugoslavian Horsebackride, El Corazon de un Gringo, The Fogrider

Track by Track Review

Gun Riders dotdotdot
Spaghetti (Instrumental)

Dark and murky sound restrains a great spaghetti western epic. Horns, a romping rhythm, and a great melody. The melody is right on the mark for the genre, and the arrangement is quite good. Potentially a great side save for the muddy sound.

Jugoslavian Horsebackride dotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

This sad song has a rolling military beat and a murky feel, as well as an adventurous western edge. The writing is good, and the band is right on.

El Corazon de un Gringo dotdotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Spanish imagery, garage distortion, disturbing twang, and a long tortured intro... The song is a splendid piece of Mexican bandito rock. The theme is very visual. It's a pretty tune played with drive. Quite interesting.

The Fogrider dotdotdot
Spaghetti Surf (Instrumental)

Heavy thundering aggressive riff rockin' assault with glissandoes and a basic run that's slightly spy. Big on energy, low on melody, but with excellent overdriven feedback and slammin' picking.
