Elliot Easton's Tiki Gods - Monte Carlo Nights

Near Surf (Instrumental)
This is a big lounge electric swirl with a lot of ambient reverb. Melodically very nice, with whammy chords and rich tone.
The James Taylor Quartet - Jackie's Theme
Acid Jazz (Instrumental)
Modern orchestral jazz - sorta. This is way more suited to a soundtrack than direct listening in my view. Just not very interesting.
The Surphonics - Wipe Out

Rock (Instrumental)
The drummer does well with this, making his own mark, but the recording muffles the kit too much, removing much of the power. The guitars seem uninspired, but the duel chord attack in different octaves gives the tune new life.
